Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual gala art evening to celebrate CCC and honor Robert C. Sheehan, and Christine Wasserstein and Susan Wasserstein and their families.

7:00–8:00 pm Premium Ticket Holder Reception and Exhibition Viewings
This VIP reception and early admission is offered to ticket holders at the Collector level and above.

7:30-9:30 pm Gala Cocktail Party, Award Ceremony, and Exhibition Viewings
For all ticket holders, the gala party will be in The Agnes Gund Garden Lobby and includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and multiple exhibition viewings. Award Presentation at 8 pm.

Honoring
Robert C. Sheehan
Robert C. Sheehan is the former Executive Partner and currently Of Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. This year marks his 50th anniversary at Skadden. Bob is President of the Joseph H. Flom Foundation and serves on the boards or advisory boards of the Skadden Fellowship Foundation, DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI), The Feerick Center for Social Justice, the Permanent Commission on Access to Justice, and Volunteers of Legal Service. He and his wife, CCC board member Elizabeth Sheehan, jointly received CCC’s Eleanor Roosevelt Award in 2009.

Christine Wasserstein and Susan Wasserstein and their Families
Christine Wasserstein is a CCC Board Member, retired psychoanalyst, former day care provider and elementary school teacher. She also serves on the Board of Nurse-Family Partnership and co-founded Friends of the New York Nurse-Family Partnership. Susan Wasserstein, an art consultant, is also a CCC Board Member and serves on the Boards of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Second Stage Theater and New York Academy of Art.

Christine Wasserstein’s husband, Dan Rattiner (Dan’s Papers), and her children and their spouses, Ben Wasserstein (HBO) and Julia Turner (L.A. Times), Pamela Wasserstein (New York Media) and Adam Shapiro (Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz), and Scoop Wasserstein (Scoop Productions) and Kate Klobe (Playa), as well as Susan Wasserstein’s husband George Sard (Sard Verbinnen & Co.), and their children, Michael Sard (Tombolo Company), and Rachel Sard (artist), and her husband Jared Levy (Sard Verbinnen & Co), all support CCC and the work of many other charitable organizations.

Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York
is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, and independent child advocacy organization. We educate and mobilize New Yorkers to make the city a better place for children. Our advocacy combines public policy research and data analysis with citizen action. We cast light on the issues, educate the public, engage allies, and identify and promote practical solutions to ensure that every New York City child is healthy, housed, educated and safe.

CCC Celebrates at The Museum of Modern Art is a private benefit event that supports Citizens’ Committee for Children’s critical work to make New York City a better place for children.
