R.E.A.L. Talk: Justice Equity

October 29 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

R.E.A.L. Talk: Justice Equity

RSVP HERE for Our R.E.A.L. Talk – Justice Equity Event

Systemic racism drives both poverty and mass incarceration of low-income people of color, putting these communities especially at risk for justice system involvement. Join us as we discuss the systems that lead to higher rates of incarceration for Black and brown communities and the policies that must be reformed and advanced in order to address these inequities. More details coming soon.

About the Series: Racial Equity Advancement Labs (R.E.A.L.) is a series of convenings that will unpack the structural and institutional barriers that disproportionately keep people of color living in or near poverty, and will advance race-conscious policies and programs to establish economic security and well-being for all. R.E.A.L. is a collaboration of three New York City-based nonprofits – Citizens’ Committee for Children of New YorkFPWA, and United Neighborhood Houses – that are committed to building just and equitable communities as our city recovers and rebuilds from Covid-19 and its fallout. Click here to visit the series page for more information.
