CCC’s Summary of New York State Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Executive Budget

Published February, 2011

The New York State Executive Budget for State Fiscal Year 2011-2012 closes a $10 billion budget gap in large part by cutting spending and shifting costs to counties in a manner that makes CCC deeply concerned about the well-being of New York’s children.

The proposed budget imposes a 10% year-to-year reduction on state agencies ($1.4 billion), cuts both School Aid and Medicaid by $2.85 billion each, and shifts $114.2 million in traditional state supports for Human Services to localities.

CCC’s Summary of the New York State Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Executive Budget Proposals provides a detailed summary of the proposals related to children and categorizes them as positive, negative or requiring further assessment by CCC.
