Act Now: End Adolescent Solitary Confinement

CCC and our partners on the Raise the Age NY campaign are calling on the Governor to stop the placement of 16- and 17-year-olds into solitary confinement.

Operated by the adult prison system, NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) Adolescent Offender Facilities currently use separation units to place teenagers in solitary confinement for up to 18 hours a day.
