CCC’s 2011 Celebration Breakfast brought over 600 supporters together to honor child advocates, recognize achievements made and describe the significant challenges ahead. Charles Blow, The New York Times Visual Op-Ed Columnist, delivered a powerful keynote highlighting the devastating poverty statistics and the connection between income inequality and developmental and educational inequality. CCC Executive Director, Jennifer March-Joly, presented an infographic illustrating the devastating impact of the recession on New York City’s children while calling on all to join CCC in advocacy on progressive tax policy to help secure and protect programs for children.
